Designer Bill Greening says, “I started with the lovely Aphrodite face sculpt because of the open mouth. Zombies are starving and I have yet to see a zombie with a closed mouth!” To up the fear factor, her lips are painted a dark blood red and her dazed expression is wild and hypnotic, with intense blue eyes covered in smoky eye shadow. Greening also opted for a gray skin pallor — a first for Barbie.
To amplify her undead glamour, Haunted Beauty Zombie Bride Barbie Doll keeps her voluminous duo-toned silvery locks perfectly coiffed. At first glance, her pink-hued wedding ensemble appears antiquated, but on closer inspection, it’s an exquisite, nightmarish vision in couture. Greening explains, “Just because she’s a zombie doesn’t mean she can’t have impeccable taste — after all, she’s still fashion-conscious Barbie!”
Extravagantly costumed in wedding apparel reminiscent of Miss Havisham from Great Expectations, the ravenous beauty wears an off-the-shoulder gown with a shimmering fitted pink bodice. The luminous dress flares at the sleeves and features a sweeping floor-length skirt. Her bridal attire is coordinated with a pink floral bouquet and a veiled headband of silvery roses. You’ve got to give a big hand to Zombie Bride Barbie for making such a fetching bride — but be careful, you might lose a few fingers!
